For whoever answers for the system

Production readiness checklist for what your team has built with AI

26 yes-or-no questions, in six layers, so you can check for yourself whether a system built with AI is ready to ship. Tick them here or print the page: the ticks are not saved.

How to use it

  1. Tick every question you can answer yes to, with confidence.
  2. If the answer is “no” or “I don't know”, leave it unticked.
  3. Count the ones left unticked: with three or more, someone from outside should look at the system.

Every question comes from what our service pages publish under “What we review”. It says what you need to have in place, not how it is checked.

To take it on paper, use your browser's print option: only the questions and their boxes come out.

The application

What people use: the app or the website.

The backend and the API

The server side the user never sees.

The database

Where the system's data lives.

The server

The machine the system runs on.

Monitoring

How you find out that something is failing.

AI agents

Only if the system has AI agents or assistants. If it has none, these four do not count.

Three or more left unticked?

If you have left three or more questions unticked, book a free meeting: 30 minutes to see what you have and where to start.

Frequently asked questions

What should you check before taking a system built with AI to production?

Six things: the application, the backend and its API, the database, the server, monitoring and, if there are any, the AI agents. This checklist has 26 yes-or-no questions spread across those six layers.

Is the checklist free, and do you keep what I tick?

The checklist is free and asks for no details. The boxes live in your browser and are not saved: they are gone when you close or reload the page. To keep it, print it.

Does this checklist replace a code audit?

No. The checklist tells you where to look, but it does not look for you. A health check verifies each point on your system, with its evidence, and orders what it finds by impact. The checklist helps you decide whether you need one.

Who should fill it in?

Whoever answers for the system, with the person who built it alongside. The questions are written for leadership: if the answer to one is “I don't know”, it counts as an unticked box.

I have left several boxes unticked. What now?

With three or more unticked, someone from outside should look at the system before customers or decisions depend on it. Book a free 30-minute meeting and we see where to start.
